The Italian Owl originated in the Upper Italy, and was first imported to Germany in the 1880’s. They are a small gracious pigeon with a horizontally carried body on more than medium-long legs. Their neck is of medium length, bent slightly backward and carried proudly with a well-developed breast frill. The head is small and broad. Wings are not too long, carried on a short, horizontal well closed tail, with wing butts standing slightly away from the body.
